AEVIT 2.0 Primary Controls are broken down into three basic options; 1.) Gas/Brake & Steering, 2.)Gas/Brake Only, and 3.) Steering Only. Click on the appropriate button below to navigate. The Gas/Brake & Steering option is simply a combination of the other two. All options shown are "plug-ins" and can be exchanged for different options anytime during the life of your vehicle.
AEVIT 2.0 Secondary Control Options, enable you to tailor the controls to your wants, needs and to your budget. Of course, if your wants, needs, or budgets change in the future, adding more functions and features to your AEVIT 2.0 system is as easy as inserting a new compact flash card. If you have access to a 3G cell or satellite network with data capabilities, EMC Service can connect to your AEVIT 2.0 via the Internet to perform these updates! As you scroll down through this page, you will notice that we offer three (3) basic packages to choose from; Option A, B, or C. We will cover each of these in greater detail below, HOWEVER.... if you require/need Ignition/Starting, and Transmission Shift, we would highly recommend Option A. Reason?...you will most probably require other functions as well and Option A represents the better "cost per function" value.
Smart-Shift sets the industry standard for "Electronic Shift" applications, and can be installed into any vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission. No more missed gears or waiting in traffic for other actuator systems to slowly move. Smart-Shift travels from Park to Drive in 1.3 seconds! Simply press the desired key one time and the actuator moves to the desired gear automatically. There are 2-styles for Smart-Shift: one that is incorporated into the AEVIT 2.0 LCD Display, and one for "stand-alone" applications that require a separate keypad. Smart-Shift incorporates positional feedback as well as fully automatic positioning of the actuator in any of the five gear selector choices, i.e., Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive and Drive 2. When a key is depressed, the actuator will move the transmission to the selected gear, stop automatically, and illuminate the LED indicator.
The EMC Electronic Park Brake is an excellent and dependable replacement for the OEM mechanical Park Brake. The Park Brake utilizes a combination of components which can output a force of more than 640 lbs. and is capable of fully applying the park brake in less than 3-seconds. The water resistant cast housing is designed to keep the internal components protected from the elements and abuse.
Step 1 - Activate the scan by pushing the switch. Step 2 - When the desired function is heard, activate the switch again and the function begins!! Activate the switch and a voice (yours if you like) announces the functions. When the desired function is heard, activate the switch again to select the function. VoiceScan can be programmed in either one or two channel mode. The one channel mode allows all functions to be operated from a single switch, while the two channel mode allows for two priority functions. In either mode, VoiceScan can control up to 16 functions. VoiceScan is field programmable. It can be customized at our shop! And, like Crescent Touch Pads and Elbow Pads, VoiceScan can be used with any vehicle function.
The Command 16 system builds on proven technology in adaptive driving while providing high reliability. It's progressive modular design provides ease of installation and customization. The Command 16 consists of three components: the console, the vehicle interface, and the relay packs. The Command 16 can be configured to control any device and will fit any vehicle. Custom and Versatile. The Command 16 can control any function in any vehicle and is back-lit for night time operation.
The DM horizontal steering system is customized to meet the needs of those with high-level spinal cord injuries and all others who experience limited arm strength and range of motion.
Reduced Effort Steering modification boxes and steering racks are available for all American vans and most cars with factory power steering. Standard factory power steering requires approximately 40 ounces of effort to operate. Steering modifications can reduce the required effort to 20-24 ounces (low effort) or 6-8 ounces (no effort). (These statistics will vary depending on model of car and tire size)
Standard factory power brakes require 20 foot-pounds of pressure to operate. Low-effort modification reduces the required pressure to 11 foot-pounds. The no effort modification reduces the required pressure to 7 foot pounds (these statistics will vary slightly depending upon model of car or van). Available for all American vans and most American and foreign cars with factory power brakes.
Emergency power assisted steering if factory power steering system fails. Test circuits are provided which enable customers to check system prior to driving. Audio and visual alarms alert driver to factory power steering failure--backup system instantaneously activates. Backup system has its own 2 quart fluid reservoir (factory steering comes with 1 1/2 pints). Does not require low or no effort steering modification. Backup steering systems for Ford full size vans now come with a fluid cooler to reduce the temperature of the operation.
Provides emergency power assisted braking if power brake system fails due to engine failure or low vacuum. Test circuit is included so backup system can be periodically checked by customer. Audio and visual alarms alert driver to power brake system failure. Automatically activated if engine vacuum drops below a satisfactory operating level. Fits all American vans and most full or mid-sized cars. Does not require low or no-effort braking modification.
